Llamas on the Patio: A Rockwell Tradition You Have to Experience

If you’ve heard people talking about llamas at a brewery in St. Louis, they’re probably talking about Rockwell Beer Company—and for good reason. The llama isn’t just a surprise guest around here; it’s Rockwell’s spirit animal. Friendly, approachable, and a little unexpected—kind of like the Rockwell vibe itself.

Our very first Llama Day kicked off on 4/20/19, and it quickly became one of our most-loved traditions. A few times each year, we team up with Eagle Eye Llamas to bring real, friendly llamas to our tasting room patio for Llamas on the Patio. It’s exactly what it sounds like: llamas hanging out while guests enjoy great beer, great food, and an easygoing afternoon on the patio—and every time, it’s a huge hit with adults and kids alike.

The patio turns into a lively, laugh-filled hangout where families snap photos, kids light up, and friends linger a little longer. It’s one of those uniquely St. Louis moments that makes Rockwell feel like more than just a brewery—it feels like a community.
